Unique in Chile and a pioneer in Latin America, VOE combines the sustainability of organic viticulture with an ongoing pursuit of quality.
Organic viticulture requires painstaking care and cultivation of the vineyards to preserve their intimate relationship with the environment while achieving the maximum expression of each vineyard’s distinctive terroir. The core concept behind organic viticulture is Biodynamic Agriculture Management, a methodology that regards the field as a living organism and therefore refrains from using any artificial processes or products in its cultivation.
This vision led VOE to design and build a winery and cellar combining state-of-the-art technology integrated with the best traditional techniques. Located at the Los Robles estate in Nancagua, part of the Colchagua Valley, the winery has a 650,000 liter capacity, including 400,000 liters in stainless steel tanks; 90,000 liters in wood tanks; and 160,000 liters in French and American oak barrels. The landscape is minimalist, and architecture incorporates raw materials such as local river stone, adobe, beech, and copper.
